We intend to help facilitate communication between melanoma researchers by stimulating discussion on important topics via the SMR newsletter and commentaries. Our goal is a lively forum that entices members and potential members to visit the website and exchange ideas that affect the future course of melanoma research.

Our newsletter contains updates on SMR’s activities, meetings and other news from the field. The commentaries cover topics chosen to encourage vigorous discussion. These topics include:

• issues of general interest to the community
• issues that are thought–provoking and perhaps controversial
• information on new technologies
• information about new developments in the field
• introductions of new publications
• reports and commentary on meetings

We welcome SMR members and non–members to submit commentaries to be posted on the website.
