Participation Grants

The Society for Melanoma Research has established a limited number of congress participation grants. These grants will allow individuals who would normally not consider attending the SMR Congress, due to lack of resources, to participate in the meeting. These grants are in addition to the already established travel awards for posters and oral presentations. To assist as many individuals as possible awardees are only eligible for a single type of SMR funding. These grants are strictly based on financial need and are limited to individuals living in one of these qualifying geographies.

Grant Criteria

Application period is May 1st -July 1st of each year.
Must submit an abstract for poster or oral consideration.
Submit a brief summary (300 words max) of how participation will benefit you or your institution.
Must reside in qualifying country.
Only one grant is awarded per institution.
Must submit an itemized list of anticipated expenses.
Supply a list of other grants applied for outside of SMR.
Available only for trainees, students, and post docs
Not eligible for travel awards or invited speaker reimbursements.

Only applications with complete information will be considered.

Despite qualifying for assistance some individuals may not be able to physically travel to the conference. If a virtual option is available support may be given to help access content remotely.
